Our “Taste and tales of old Ireland” experiences, are evenings of Irish food, music, song, dance and storytelling, while enjoying and sampling the traditions, tales and tastes of rural Ireland in the not-too-distant past.
Guided Tour of the Farm & Cottage
Your Irish evening starts with a guided tour of Molly Gallivan’s Traditional Farm, where you’ll be brought back in time to discover how life in days gone by. Learn about everything from turf cutting to how Molly distilled poitín here on the farm. Step inside Molly’s Cottage for an evening of food and entertainment.
Bake Traditional Irish Soda Bread
Back by the turf fire in Molly’s Cottage you’ll get the chance to join in baking traditional Irish soda bread. Sample your work as you taste the bread with some real Kerry butter, fresh from the churn.
Traditional Meal, Music, Dancing and Storytelling
After working up an appetite, relax with a three-course traditional Irish meal. Throughout the meal you’ll be entertained with traditional Irish music, dancing and storytelling. Follow up the meal with an Irish coffee making demonstration and enjoy a complimentary Irish coffee along the way.
